 READING BOOKS 

The children need to ensure that they bring their reading books and personal reading record books to school every week. The children participate in Guided Reading Sessions through the week, and we encourage the pupils to read at home to an adult on a regular basis, at least once a week. We also encourage parents to write comments in the reading record books when your child has read.

Tymor 1 

Yn y gyfres o wersi yma, bydd y disgyblion yn canolbwyntio ar y sgil o greu cardiau pop-up.I ddechrau, byddant yn archwilio ac yn gweld yr amrywiaeth sydd ar y farchnad yn barod ac yn cymryd syniadau o’r rhain. Byddant yn datblygu ei sgiliau ac yn creu amrywiaeth o gardiau sydd a gwahanol ‘pop-up’ ynddynt. Bydd y disgyblion yn creu carden Nadolig gan ganolbwyntio ar un o’r technegau ‘pop up’ yma.

Yn yr hanner tymor yma, bydd y disgyblion yn creu fila Rufeinig sydd yn cyd fynd gyda’i gwaith hanes y tymor. Byddant yn archwilio i mewn i sut oedd yr adeiladau yma’n edrych, ac yn rhannu syniadau fel dosbarth i greu cynllun. Bydd y disgyblion yn rhannu mewn grwpiau bach i fod yn gyfrifol am un rhan o’r adeilad megis yr ardd, y lloriau mosaic ar raglen ryngweithiol, y fila, a byddant yn rhoi at ei gilydd ar ôl i bob rhan ei gwblhau.

Singing a variety of songs – traditional folk songs, religious, original compositions, action songs. Modern songs and carols.
Composing, performing and appraising – work based on Unit 3 of the Primary Resource File ‘Un Cam ar y Tro’ – Theme Ourselves.
Rhythms – using children’s names and other words.
Notation.
Appraising three different styles of performing the same song – (Blues; rock; Folk) ‘Mae gen i ddwy lygaid’.
Compose own ‘rap’ song.
Appraising work of other composers – Elgar’s ‘Enigma Variations.
Development of musical elements through the above.

Rhythm awareness – use of the French naming system to establish understanding.
